Chapter #7

Annihilation

    by: Doom Author IconMail Icon
Nah, you're in no rush to get off this sweaty surface of skin. Indeed, you lie back, arms behind your head, and allow yourself to be taken where this giant wills it.

She grabs hangars from racks, brings stuff before her to see how it looks - blocking your view of the world - and generally is very busy.

Eventually, she heads to the changing room to try some outfits on, and that's where your tale ends. First she pulls her top off, and the thick fabric strikes you a glancing blow. You fall from your place, an impossible relative distance for a full-size person, but quarter-inch tall you hits the carpet lightly, almost bouncing. Not a scratch.

Picking yourself up, you smile and look up at the girl. Meanwhile, she's pulling clothes off their hangar, and tossing the latter aside.

The metal tip of the hangar lands directly on you, the mass of metal crumpling your bones in your body, shattering your spine, rendering your legs useless.

Yet you live still, half in agony, half in numb paralysis. You do your best to crawl with your arms alone, but can't get far. Now you cry, while above you an oblivious teenager tries on clothes, her movements thundering through the world above and behind you.

In time she goes, and other women have their turn. None notices you, too absorbed in checking themselves out in the mirror, heedless of the broken being at their feet, unable to hear his pitiful cries for help.

Eventually, you are spotted. An octogenarian, carefully scanning the ground as she paces in, spots a twitching bug before her. In mercy, she raises her walking stick before bringing it down to grind the life out of the thing, put it out of its misery.

THE END.

You've come to the end of the story. You can:
