Space, an infinite void filled with galaxies which held stars and planets,floating through this dark and infinite void was a sphere.
The sphere itself was crystalline in form, purple in coloration and as small as a golf ball, deep inside this sphere was a dormant consciousness that held great and strange powers.
For many eons this sphere had floated through the vast reaches of the universe, slumbering, waiting to be awaken and work its power and will on whatever lifeforms that come into contact with it, which was sooner than expected.
After it's eternal voyage through the cosmos, the sphere came close the planet Equus where it was caught in it's gravitational pull.
It came shooting across the sky in a fiery blaze, cutting clouds until it landed in Equestria.
