Memories surface, as you feel your personal history with her fill in. The stolen, chaste kiss. Your awakening, and the escalation you both loved, as you explored and extended your friendship.

"H...Hey..." you answer, feeling a flutter in your tummy, and hearing the nervous trill in your voice. You knew exactly who was the boss, and your role.

There was an odd twinge, that somehow, you ought to be the domineering one, the one in charge... well, you did use to be a guy. Wasn't that the way these things were meant to work. That you were the protector. Even as you realise, that is your relationship. But it's Maria who is your protector, champion, defender. You can only imagine snuggling against her. Feeling her arms cradle and protect you.

Blushing you recall also her wandering fingers, those teasing tweaks, those shameful admissions of jealousy. She! She, Maria the most popular girl, was envious of your curves. Cradling and mauling your bust, caressing and patting your rump.

You wonder if she wishes she was born a guy...
