As Terry paused from her work, she took a moment to remove her filthy glove and wipe her brow, which was damp from sweat by the morning gardening.
It was a hot, humid day, but nonetheless a beautiful one for gardening. The cabin she lived in was the ideal spot, too, given its isolated location and heavy plant density.
She gently hummed to herself as she got to work. She wasn't a very toned person, but always found joy in tending to her work.
"Alright…got my roses all trimmed and nice, and now all I have to do is…" But she stopped talking as she noticed a strange flower nearby.
It was a tall flower with a large head, composed of black and white tulips. It was a beautiful plant, almost artistic in design, but she was suspicious of how she'd never seen anything like it, as in she'd planted every flower in her garden but this one.
"Strange…what could you be?" She thought aloud with a chuckle. She reached forward to stroke its petals, wanting to feel their texture, but gasped as the plant suddenly shuddered to her touch, the head pointing right at her as it spewed a cloud of yellow gas in her face.
"GAH!...EW!!!" She coughed in disgust as the cloud began to fade away. "What the hell was tha-"
She was struck silent as she saw that the flower was gone.
"What the hell? Am I seeing things?" But a sudden rumble in her stomach insisted other wise, which caused her to groan slightly as she clutched it...
