Chapter #4

Brad. Well... this could get bad really fast....

    by: Unknown
"Oh, uh, hey Brad! How is, uh, how's it going?" You ask with attempted and horribly botched nonchalance. You were absolutely terrified of this man, his reputation for humiliation proceeding him. You had never been mind controlled before by him, though you had seen him in action on numerous occasions and you weren't chomping at the bit to experience that.

"I'm doing alright. What about you, how's it hanging?" He joked.

You forced yourself to laugh along with him, hoping to get on his good side. "Oh, you know. Just hanging out!" You joke in kind, getting a healthy rise out of the man. "So hey, listen, if you wouldn't mind would you please get me down from here? I'm starting to get nauseous." you request.

Brad seems to think for a time before shrugging and responding with a simple "Alright." You are about to thank him when take a hold of you by the leg and pulls down with all his might, literally pulling the whole mechanism from the ceiling and sprawling you across the floor in a heap. You feel Brad's strong arms scoop you up and set you upright, steadying you as you struggled to stand on your two asleep feet. He brushes a bit of the dust off of you before saying "Viola, good as new!"

"Thanks Brad, I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't shown up!" You say, pulling the rope off of your ankle. As you look up however you notice that Brad isn't looking at you any more. He is leaned against the wall with his eyes closed, seemingly concentrating on some-

Everything felt... different. It was hard to describe, it was as though you were just watching a movie or something, the sights, smell, feeling, and sounds somehow distant and detached from you. Your perspective shifted down without you making it do so and focused on your hands, moving them as though just getting a feel for them. It was then that you realized what was going on. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" You screamed internally, but you yourself could hardly hear your cries. It was a faint echo at best, and you've never seen anyone break from Brad's control through will power. You simple watch in horror as Brad walks your body back out into the main hallway and into the staff bar. It was a rather dingy little establishment thrown up through popular demand but it made drinks that could knock an ox on its ass and that was all that counted. Through your eyes you saw Brad focus his attention on one woman sitting alone near the corner.

She was a perky young woman who couldn't be a day over two dozen years of age and clearly she was new here just like you were, maybe even more so. Her hair was tied into a neat braid, her clothes consisting of a white lab coat and maroon dress were both spotless and clean pressed, and she had perfectly done make up and lipstick, a far cry from the disheveled veterans who populated the rest of the bar. Brad walks up to her, his heart rate as steady as a mountain while you internally panicked at what Brad would do with you.
