You knelt down and gently scratched at the spot where the ear connected to the head. A low hum filled the air as a reward for your efforts. Emboldened by this, you rubbed at the ear vigorously, this time using both your hands . A low moan came from down in front, vibrating the floor beneath you. You rushed over to the other ear, starting over there as well. You were really getting into it now, like you were petting a big friendly dog instead of a giant horse thing.
