Returning to Larry and the roommates

    by: cana Author IconMail Icon
Larry and the roommates found themselves subjected to the magic of the wish. Joe’s natural propensity to technology exacerbated. Reborn a tech genius with the garage doubling as a secret layer with sub-floors. A wall of specialized tools alongside standard ones like hammers and screwdrivers. His ionizing ray gun and pulsar driven drill all neatly placed. A massive mainframe computer hummed as it operated. Capable of analyzing profiles and make predictions from it. From simple weather reports to even lottery numbers. Joe moral ambiguity left him wiggle room in deciding who and even what to sell to.

Brad’s natural physic bulked out further. His skin turning a dark gray. The ‘Iron hammer’ with resilient skin and the ability to turn his hands into hunks of metal that could smash through block walls. He enjoyed proving his nickname true with women.

Tommy felt magic pass out of himself into so many others. Altering reality and its possibilities to the core. Protected from alteration either by happenstance or some power of his lamp. He remained a genie retaining memories of what was and is.

Mark developed the ability to manipulate shadows. To cover himself till all that remained a shade. At night neigh invisible. His abilities grew with practice and he felt excited at the possibilities. Creating tendrils he could reach out and grab things. One time from the front room he snaked out a tendril and opened the fridge retrieving a beer. Just the other day he’d discovered in his shade form he could alter his shape. Becoming flat as a sheet of paper. Sliding under a crack in the garage door. He decided to find out just what Joe got up to. He heard noises from below him once inside. His shadowed flowed across the floor searching out entrance. He found a trapdoor with a keyhole that he slid into and about the mechanism worming his way through. Into a marvelous display of technologies Mark found himself.

Joe wiped sweat from his brow. Wielding on the exosuit proceed well but definitely tiresome. He decided to take a break from work. He’d still finish well before his deadline. One more session and the armored Argonaut would be set. Joe then simply needed to drop it off at the designated sight and he’d be paid the remainder of his fee. Unlocking the trapdoor he made his way out of his workshop. He pondered upgrading security but dismissed it as no one even knew who he was much less his location.

Mark eyes drifted from device to device. Each meticulously labeled in detail its function. Grinning at Joe’s careful organization. Reading over one that produced an inaudible hum inducing drowsiness. A helmet that enslaved any that wore the accompanying bracelets. He counted six bracelets. A belt that sparked arousal in those within a twenty foot radius. A work order next to a tiny power plant in a box ready to be shipped. How odd that someone would want a power plant capable of being maned by tiny people.

His eyes next caught sight of a variety of what looked like ray guns. Most of them appeared to be designed to incapacitate in a fashion. Stunning, slowing, to stranger methods like a ray to induce bodily functions. Mark blanched at the array. Joe needed counseling to come up with it. Mark pondered what to take.

Joe scrolled through messages on his phone trying to plan out his week. With all of the work coming in he thought about expanding into his own place. Even getting assistants to do to manage the easy tasks. But where to get trustworthy helpers. An alert popped up on his phone. His finger hoovered momentarily before pressing.

Brad rushed to the alarm sounding off. With luck reporters would be on scene. But no doubt citizens would be filming. He was going to look awesome.
