It took a bit of effort, but Judy managed to get the wolf out of her stomach. She was tired.
The wolf however, seemed to be recovering more quickly. "You, you're not going to get away with what you did." He then grabbed her, and slammed her against the wall. "Did you have fun? Well, I'm going to-"
"Put her down, now!"
The wolf turned his head. "What are you going to do?"
Judy looked over the wolf's shoulder, and saw Nick standing a few feet away. "Nick!"
"Take it easy Judy," said Nick. "I got this."
"Do you know what she did to me?" the wolf growled.
Nick grinned. "At least she let you out. Not bad for someone who was Untrained. Me, I'm a Class 5."
The wolf gulped, and let Judy go. "Alright. Just don't eat me!"
"On your knees, and paws behind your head," said Nick.
The wolf got down on his knees. Judy could see the fear in his eyes as Nick walked up to him.
"Behave," Nick said, as he cuffed the wolf behind his back. "Get up." He looked over at Judy. "Think you can stand?"
"I'll try," said Judy, as she tried to stand. She felt a little wobbly. "Might need some help."
Nick dashed over, and helped her up. "Easy Carrots."
"Do you know what just happened?" Judy asked.
Nick nodded. "You're a Gulper."
"A Gulper?" Judy asked. "I thought that those were just myths. I mean, stories about predators who could swallow prey whole, that's mostly fiction, right? I mean, I could see how something the size of a lion, or tiger, or bear could swallow something the size of a mouse, but, the rest of-"
"Judy, you just swallowed a wolf, and vomited him up," said Nick. "I hate to burst your bubble, but Gulpers are real, and you're one of them."
"But, it's still impossible," said Judy.
"Carrots, I'm a Class 5 Gulper myself," said Nick. "I know what I'm talking about. Now, let's get this guy to the car, take him to the station, and talk to Bogo about this."
"Are you sure about that?" Judy asked. "Can't we just keep quiet about this?"
"No unless you want every other Gulper after you," said Nick. "You have to be Registered, and Trained, and then there's the dietary changes needed. Special protein and vitamin bars and pills, so that you don't lose control, and still have all the nutrition you need."
"You're serious?" Judy asked.
"Gulper stuff is one thing I wouldn't lie about," said Nick.
