Sabrina went bed with Bo sprawled on the rug beside her bed. As she lay there looking out the window of her cottage room, she watched the stars and wondered about the wolf and also about the blue fairy. What had made him so mean? Where had the fairy come from and how did she know she needed help? And what did she mean about always being there to protect her.? Had she been protected her before? So many questions and no one to ask as her father likely would not believe in fairies and she dared not tell of her encounter with the wolf. Her mother was away so she couldn't talk with here. She wondered where her mother went as she had gone travelling many times since she was born. She yawned as she recalled the fairy again. Why did she seem so familiar? Celine, her name was.
As she snuggled into her pillow and drifted off, she heard a faint tapping at the window. She looked over and saw a light. A fairy much like Celine but with dark hair flitted there. She opened the window and listened.
“ Are you Sabrina?
"Yes, Who are you? " she asked as Bo growled lowly.
"I am Charie. I need your help. So does Celine. Can you come with me?" Her eyes glowed and Bo moved to Sabrina, showing his teeth.
"Well, I promised I would not go out at night and Celine warned me too. What is the matter?" she understood Bo’s language and did not quite trust this being.
She heard the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs and Charie flitted out the window and was gone.
Sabrina jumped back into bed and closed her eyes just as her father peeked in the room. She heard him come over and stroke her hair. “be safe, daughter” he whispered. Bo stood by and was rewarded with a pat. “watch over her, Bo. There are things…..” he sighed , shook his head and left the room.
