Chapter #4
Cushion Carnival
by: Unknown
You crawl backwards on your wrists then roll onto all fours as Shyanna begins to act. Something deep catches your hand as you focus on Shyanna coming around the sofa. She laughs at your attempts to escape her and takes her time.
"Yes," you exhale as you sink between two great cushions. You squirm your way along the ridged fabric patterns and crawl underneath. Shyanna says something above in a rhetorical tone, as you crawl between strands of string and lost change you make out, "Oh, where could Jamie have gone!?"
Progress is slow, and you're not even sure which direction your route is taking you. "I better wait for him here on the sofa," the cushion presses down on you, pinning you to the underlying layer of fabric. "Aah!" you scream and groan as your arm is held in an awkward position, your shoulder throbs. "Where could James be?" the cushion eases up and forgetting pain, you crawl away. "I sure hope he comes back soon," the cushion beats down on you again, then rises, and pounds down, rises.
"Ow!" you yell as you press on, the undulations of free and flattened making a bouncing beat to escape. "Are you crazy!? Shyanna!" Your head is pounding, "Stop it! Stop!" The fabric beneath you has gradually stiffened, you near an exit.
