"James, get a hold of yourself!" You said to yourself, as you looked at your Fitbit which was going crazy, with your heart rate changing drastically. After taking a glimpse at it and realizing the situation, you slowed down your breathing and normalized your pulse in no time using your Karate techniques. With that, you looked straight at Michelle, which was keeping an eye on you as a few giggles escaped her mouth, which resulted in you checking if there was something on your clothes or on your hair. This girl was just an intern and she got you flustered in a matter of seconds! You are the king! You can't let someone take your spot or shake your confidence!
"My first client is Stephanie Beachwood. She is a shareholder of the biggest clothing firm in the state, as such, she will be a valuable asset to have as a partner of the firm. What I have prepared for her are what I like to call the three top fundamentals of selling. Distract them with something they want, gain control over the situation and last but not least, leave them speechless and unable to refuse." You said, as the businessman in you spoke, with high pride and confidence, as you were THE Junior Manager, and the client was to be but a walk in the park.
"Distract, dominate and amazed. Got it, Mr James!" Michelle said with a smile, which was appearing more so devilish than innocent. That gave you the creeps, however, you decided to ignore her and move on.
Half an hour later, you heard a knock on your office and smiled as Stephanie entered. At first she was doubtful that you would be the firm for the job, however, it took you only a quarter of an hour to convince her that you were the best in town and the firm for her to sign with. You were proud of yourself, as that was a personal record, not only for you but for the firm, especially with such an important client. If you kept going like that, by the end of the month you might even be able to overtake Kim, you thought, bolstering about your upcoming success.
What was odd, however, was that Michelle wasn't exactly paying attention to the discussing and taking notes. Instead, she was looking both at Stephanie and you during the confrontation and evil yet, elaborate smirk could be seen on her lips from your peripheral sight.
What was she thinking? What could she have in mind and would that end up bad for you?
