“Erin, I think I’m going to head north,” you announce. “I want to find out what is causing all those strange readings.”
“Alright, I’ll keep in contact with you through the translation device,” she chirps back. You head out towards the north, and as you go, the air cools down a slight bit.
After walking for around thirty minutes, you decide to take a small break under one of the leafy plants. “Erin, how far away do you think I am from the readings?”
“Probably just another twenty minutes or so at your pace,” the computer responds. “Just so you know, the temperature has cooled to 104°F/ 40°C. I am estimating that the temperature at the readings will be around 95°F/ 35ׄ°C.”
“Thank you, Erin,” you proclaim. You stay under the shade for another five minutes, and then you get up and continue towards the north.
Twenty-one minutes later, Erin calls out over the translation device, “You are at the place that the readings originated from. What do you see?”
You observe the area to see if you can find where the strange readings came from. As you look around, you see that the area is mostly barren, with only a few of the plants that you are used to seeing, but there is one outlier among the land. “Erin, I am seeing some sort of silver box here,” you broadcast. “It does not look like anything around here, so it might be causing the strange readings. I’m going to…”
