You hear the screams of people around you and feel the heat of the burning car next to you. You stand there, motionless in the street, unable to believe what’s happening. You know about Raccoon City and the 2012 bioterrorist attacks all over the world, everyone does. You remember watching the news, trying to tell yourself you would never live such a nightmare, but now you are.
A woman bumps in to you, causing you to snap out of your frozen state. She falls to her knees, while the man she is with keeps tugging at her arm.
“Come on, we have to go!” He says with shivering breath.
The woman whimpers as she climbs to her feet. You stare at the man’s face, who looks back at you with uncomfortable wide eyes.
“W-What are you looking at?!” He says. “Rachel get up, I think he might be one of them freaks!”
The woman screams bloody murder and the couple continues to run. In your frozen stupor the crowd has left you. Looking around, the street is empty, scattered cars and houses with broken windows. As the sirens in the distance fade your hear shuffled steps coming from a nearby alley. You step back and lock your eyes with the figure approaching you. Out of the shadows walks a young female scientist covered in blood, her attempts at breathing are loud and horrifying. She reaches into her pocket and takes out a vial with a green colored glowing liquid. Her mouth moves as if she is trying to say something. You shake your head trying to tell her you don’t understand. She takes a few steps before her eyes empty, and she falls over towards you. You jump aside in shock and as she hits the ground. The vail smashes against the pavement and its glass hull shatters. The liquid interacting with the outside air, causes it to turn into a gas like substance. You try to cover your mouth but you are too late, the gas burns inside your lungs and you pass out.
You wake up on and look around, the nightmare has grown. Everything around you has become so much bigger, it makes you feel like an insect witnessing the apocalypse. You see that the scientist’s face lay right beside you. Her dead eyes stare out into the street, she must have bled out. You try and catch your breath and decide to have a moment of silence for the poor woman, one which she herself breaks with a loud moan. Her eyes dart toward you and you scream in terror. You start to run, as the zombified creature pushes herself off the ground. You run as fast as your tiny legs can carry you, while hearing the groaning gurgles behind you. When all hope seems lost, a giant steps out from behind a car, and the sound of handgun fire assaults your ears. You look back to see the undead scientist’s head explode and her body drop like a bag. You turn toward the giant and see that it’s an attractive young woman, a blonde with soft skin and blue eyes.
Federal Agent Sherry Birkin had been sent in by the DSO to investigate the new outbreak. She sighs as she looks at the lab coat, knowing it probably means she is getting closer to the origin. She looks down to check for any ammo or herbs.
