,,, he was completely paranoid. Harry was reluctant to even let you in, and almost barred both Mel and Hayley from entering. Only after you answered a lot of questions did Harry relent.
"What is wrong with you?" you demanded the instant you sat down in the den.
"Sorry John, but I don't know if I can trust you with this" Harry said in a nervous voice.
"Trust me?" you asked.
Harry ignored your comment. "I don't even know if I trust myself..."
That got your attention, as well much to your surprise, Hayley's. "What's the trouble, bro?" you asked.
Harry bit his lip, as if he was making a final decision. "I suppose it would make sense to have a back up for this.... John, what would you say to me if I told you that magic was real?"
"Not this lunacy! First Mel. Now you?" you scoffed.
"What do you mean 'First Mel?'" Harry asked.
"Mel was going to read a 'spell' from some magic book" you replied.
"Trust me John. Don't scoff. Two days ago, I would have agreed, but that was before I got this" Harry said, as he pulled from his pocket a strange looking orb. It was palm sized, but probably weighted a pound or two.
"What is it?' you asked Harry, but it was Hayley that answered.
"It's the wishing orb! How did you get it?!" Hayley asked, in a slightly worried voice.
"Wishing orb?" you asked over Harry's demands about how Hayley knew.
Hayley replied in a business like voice. "The wishing orb grants wishes. Make a wish using "I wish'. What makes it dangerous is a wish can not be reversed by the wisher or a third party, unless the actual wisher has magic powers of her own. I can see why Harry is paranoid about this thing."
