"Hey! Wake up, Allie!" Dahlia said, barging into Allison's room.
She immediately smelled the scent of urine and scrunched up her nose. Her gaze fell on the wet stains on Allison's bedsheets and pajamas. She covered her mouth to try and hide her laughter. She bit her tongue, yet giggles still escaped.
"Oh my god! Did you... ?" Dahlia said.
Allison hung her head in shame. She tried for a moment to think of a lie, but figured nothing she could come up with would sound plausible. She just told the truth.
"Y... yeah." Allison said.
Dahlia giggled even more.
"God, Allie, you're such a freaking kid! Come on, take a shower already. I wanna get on the road." Dahlia said.
Dahlia pulled the wet covers from Allison's bed and pushed her sister out. She then started nudging Allison toward the door to get her into the bathroom.
"Okay! Okay! Stop pushing me." Allison said.
Allison rushed to the bathroom before anyone else could see her and closed the door. She peeled the wet pajamas off and got in the shower. It was nice and refreshing to get all that sticky urine off her body.
When she was done, Allison dried off, wrapped herself in a towel, and opened the door. It wasn't really all that unusual for her to walk from the bathroom to her room with just a towel on. She covered herself well enough with it, and Mom and Dahlia did the same thing quite often. As she walked, Mom stopped Allison for a moment.
"Hey, Allie, Dahlia told me about your little accident." She said.
Allison's blood ran cold.
"She... she did?" Allison said.
"Yeah. It's okay. Everyone has accidents sometimes." Mom said.
