Raising the single strand of hair to the sunlight streaming through his window, he deduced the color to be an unmistakable shade of pink. Such a unique and vibrant coloring was known to only one person throughout the whole of the Hidden Leaf Village, his longtime teammate and former crush, Haruno Sakura. He had been in physical contact with his bubblegum haired teammate multiple times throughout the time of strife that was the Fourth Shinobi World War, so it was hardly a surprise that a strand of Sakura's exotically colored hair could've gotten snagged on of his ratty old jacket's zipper.
"Sakura-chan, huh..." he mumbled to himself, leaning over and placing the hair on the meticulously drawn sealing array.
"Glad Ero-Sennin managed to beat sealing into my head or else this'd be kinda useless," he mused aloud, slapping his hands together, closing his eyes, and focusing his chakra.
Soon a deep blue glow surrounded his hands, bathing the dimly lit room in its azure light. Eyes snapping open, Naruto slammed his palms down at the edge of the array.
"Uzumaki Hijustu: Men no Sakusei!*"
His chakra spread along the array like lightning, converging from all corners of the circular array onto the single strand of pink laying in the center. The blue light became blindingly white and for a brief moment, Naruto was afraid he'd made a mistake with the array. And as Jiraiya had beat into his hard noggin, a single, minute mistake on an array could be deadly.
But his fears proved to be unfounded as the white light flared a bright pink, the same color as the hair, before abruptly vanishing into the array.
POOF
A small cloud of pink smoke erupted from the center of the array, signifying the success of the jutsu. With bated breath, Naruto watched the cloud of smoke vanish, revealing the results of his efforts.
"Damn," he mumbled in sheer wonderment as he picked up the mask, "I didn't expect it to work..."
The mask in his hands was relatively simple looking, but very distinctly possessing the features of his teammate. It was heart shaped, the "skin" colored a familiar shade of lily white, both telltale features of his teammate. The eyeholes were large and almond shaped, framed by thick, full lashes and the mouth was a small line of pink against the fairer shade of the mask's "skin". But obviously, the most distinguishing feature was the long, chin length, pink bangs that were parted in the center and framed the face.
"Woah," he whispered in awe, turning the mask over in his hands.
The inside of the mask was the color of dark wood, which flickered oddly in the dim light of his apartment.
Turning it back around, he now wondered...
...what to do with it, now that he'd created a mask of his teammate?
