The stagecoach could wait. Texas was not letting Roxxie get away. The weasel dashed up and vaulted onto the brown bay mare, then instantly urged it forwards with a loud 'hyah!' riding off bareback to the sounds of angry yelling from the crew. Texas made a mental note to buy them a new stage coach when all this was over, but for now, she had a job to do.
While Butterscotch was the deadliest horse in the west, she wasn't particularly fast, and at full speed Texas quickly caught up to them in Snake Canyon, a tight space with sheer red rocks on either side. Ahead of them, Roxxie glanced back and snarled, then yanked her reigns to the left, Butterscotch slamming her oversized rump into the rock wall. Instantly the dry, brittle rocks crumbled and collapsed, rocks and dirt flooding across in a mini-landslide and blocking the path.
