"I nearly fell asleep waiting for you to come back!"
A skinny female harpy with crimson feathers stood at the door. Her gaze drifted toward the large griffin. Noel didn't say a word. He ruffled his companion's feathers, and she shot him an icy stare in return. Noel unlocked the door, and you entered your shared room. A large king size bed covered with blue linen sheets sat in the center of the room. Several lights were mounted above the bed controlled by a nearby switch. A couple cushioned chairs, a table with a single lamp, a small nightstand, and a small television. The room had everything you needed for a short stay.
"Maintainance staff says the toilet has no water, and will not be fixed until the end of the week."
The harpy's words just killed the good mood. A broken toilet is never welcome news. You had no idea when you would be leaving the inn, and you cannot avoid using the facilities forever. A sickening squelch from the big griffin's gut made you freeze in fear. This was the worst time to encounter such an unfortunate obstacle. The needy avian grabbed his stomach in protest, but the sounds of pain only grew louder. You had no time to think. You were hauled into the bathroom by your roommates and dropped to the tiled floor. Noel took a seat on the broken toilet.
"Time to earn your keep human. Get over here! Ash, watch the door, so our friend doesn't try anything funny."
