The school.

"Why'd we want to go back to school even though we're on a break?"

"Are you kidding? You can't search for secrets unless the school is empty.
There were so many times I wanted to investigate something, but they'd never let me do it between periods.
The Science Room ghost, Mrs. Roper's secret treasure stash, that rare object one of the kids lost the other day...
Come on, there's no time to lose."

"Shouldn't we invite some of the other kids?"

"What for?"

"Well, they could help us search faster. We could tell them we're doing this as a test of courage."

Summer considered this - with more people she'd certainly be able to cover more ground, but she wasn't sure if they wouldn't just get in the way.
