This choice: Someone else notices Blake! YIKES! • Go Back... "Now, " the teacher flipped skillfully through the book, "we're going to read out a few lines from Act 1, Scene 5. Do I have a volunteer for the Nurse?"
Blake glanced around from his warm, cozy hiding spot. To be between his love's breasts, unseen by the world... It felt wonderful, but a bit taboo. Around the vast expanse of the classroom, not a single figure moved. He could hear, behind the soft blankets of fabric, Aria's breathing pattern change slightly. Her shoulder, petite but larger than his whole tiny body, shook a little.
He recognized that twitch. She wanted to go up. The mage nudged her slightly, trying not to touch her chest too much. When she didn't take notice, he prodded the mound with his shoulder. It quivered like an animal shaking a fly off. The vibrations resonated through his hand, and down his spine, followed by a flustered mew. She glanced down, blushing. His stomach turned at that expression; how could someone able to hold him in her hand look so helpless?
"Come," the instructor scanned the class. "We can't all play Juliet."
He gathered his courage and spoke to the immense beauty surrounding him: "Do you want to play as her?"
She shrugged back, a sigh escaping her windpipe - like a cool breeze through chimes. He couldn't help but sink deeper into that mass of cleavage. "Yes, but... I wouldn't want to draw attention to you."
"Aria!" Ms. Solar picked her out. The schoolgirl's soft eyes moved gently from Blake's breast-bound body to the teacher's index finger. The beautiful girl kept her head bowed. "You don't have to be shy. Come to the front! Now tell me, what is yond gentleman?"
She nodded quickly, and trotted to the chalkboard, book clutched between her delicate fingers. The whole time, she tried to balance the speed of her footsteps so as not to jostle the shrunken boy. Her right hand hovered in front of her shapely bosom. Blake could only see the world beyond her torso from thin stands of light letting their way through her digits. The class remained indifferent, only a few faces not staring at the clock or out in space.
The brunette glanced over her booklet, making mental note of the lines as she breathed in. "The son and heir of old Tiberio."
The magician had no clear view of his holder's face; still, he could feel something change. The music in her tones gained a quieter, subtle nuance that shivered down his torso. It quivered with pity and concern at the end. She didn't get the name correct, but the emotion that she put in it more than made up for it. For a minute, he was no longer in his class, or in his dream girl's chest; but in medieval Italy through Renaissance eyes, in a feud between families.
"Good! Let's keep that up. For the part of Juliet, any volunteers?" The teacher scanned the room, half-lulled to sleep. Rude. Blake felt like casting a curse on them for not listening. At the very least, he thought, they wouldn't be paying much attention if he revealed himself. A low-pitched mumble slid across the stagnant air from the seats in the back. The voice's ring was familiar, even as a distant wind. Almost as if by reflex, Ms. Solar pointed in its direction and declared: "Nora! Thank you for volunteering!"
The mage's face went pale. The bully he'd feared even at normal size... Now stomping to his spot, murmuring bitterly, gripping her copy of Romeo and Juliet with enough strength to crush a building. What's worse, he knew Ms. Solar would react when this horror of a teen girl gave too much sass. This display of strength that shook him to the core was Nora holding back. He sunk deeper into the chest that held him, his squirms making her giggle a little - though she tried to control herself.
Her legs' unprovoked assault on the floor tiles ended when she was next to the brown-haired girl keeping hold of Blake. The two shared a quick gaze - he still couldn't see his love's face, but even Nora's features seemed a touch calmer when looking at her. He could practically feel her breath against him as she went blurted the lines in one mouthful: "What's he that now is going out of door?"
Surprisingly, her pronunciation was perfect. And she didn't need to look at the book, unlike Aria. Almost as if she'd read this before. But at the same time, it came out in a dry, single tone; as if the bully didn't know what inflection the characters would use, or what they were feeling. Or, more likely, just didn't care.
Suddenly, the eyes in the distance twitched down. The shrunken boy froze. Nora blinked; then squinted; then, her eyes widened; finally, they burned, piercing into him. Like a full solar eclipse, smoldering flames light-years away with a featureless black pit in the center. And they both pointed right at him.
Aria let out a quick gulp. More than a few eyes pointed at the two. Her hand rose higher; only barely clouding Blake's view of the towering actress opposite her. With an exaggerated turn on her heel, the amber-clad titan continued the recitation: "Marry, that, I think, be young Petrucio."
Again, what music! What grace! That sweet echo from her lips combined with her natural empathy and quick understanding. It gave this character, whose name he did not know thirty minutes ago, a distinct voice and personality. And to be so close to her... The tiny teen felt ashamed to have forced her up in this situation. He was falling in love with her all over again; and could see himself falling deeper into her grasp with each new tune that slid from her tongue. All this, from just these quick passages.
The mage's vision was now parallel with the classroom door. Still, he could hear his old tormentor's voice growing louder behind him - then, to his side. "What's he that follows there, that would not dance?". By the end of the recitation - its monotony only broken by higher-pitched, aggressive emphasis on the last question - she stood before him in all her glory, or lack thereof.
With a muted gasp, Aria drew back. The hand before Blake's body quivered slightly, but held firm. "I-I-I know not." He nudged it, trying to hide behind the smooth flesh, or deeper into the pillow-like expanse behind him.
Nora only came closer, like a beast about to leap on its prey. Her voice became slower, placing unnatural power in each syllable. "Go ask his name: if he be married. My grave is like to be my wedding bed." She let out a sly chuckle, like she understood what she was saying. Her own fingers slid out, rubbing the bottom of her lip.
It was almost like watching an old-fashioned joust - with his knight rapidly losing ground. But what was the opponent trying for, anyway? With any class members not bored out of their minds gazing up, this bully couldn't just reach into a classmate's shirt... Could she?
Aria countered: "His name is Romeo, and a Montague; The only son of your great enemy." She coughed slightly, sending another quake down the little boy's body. She was so cold, and the yellow shirt's surface so smooth, it felt like he could just slide down and disappear...
The fire-eyed girl turned so her back was opposite the class. She spoke again, barely looking at the book: "My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, that I must love a loathed enemy."
Suddenly, her palm came flying at Aria's makeshift shield of a hand, slapping it aside - and with it, sending Blake tumbling to the ground. Both girls' clothes whirred by in a blinding mix of warm colours. He reached up helplessly to their silent faces, growing more and more distant. Though the floor approached, he didn't dare to look down...
In a blunt thud, he reached his destination. He heard a few voices murmuring in shock, or sympathy; but none of them seemed anything more than a distant dream to the miles of tiles around him, and the twitching ankles on either end of his diminished body.
Aria took notice instantly. Her eyes sparkled, and her soft lips dropped in compassion. She fidgeted for a second, pretending to hesitate on a line. Then, with one quick burst, her legs fell out of her dress, and she dropped to the ground melodramatically. Even having just been between her breasts, the floor-bound boy couldn't help but blush. This was closer to her creamy thighs than he'd ever dreamed of being. She looked up with that same little pout, and cried: "What's this? what's this?" Not exactly fitting for the scene, but it served to hide her real actions. The whole time, her left hand grabbed around on the floor to scoop him up. With a second to regain his breath, he ran back for it...
...And met with Nora's shoe slamming on him. "A rhyme I learn'd even now, of one I danced withal." Everywhere, it stung - the dirt accumulated at the base of her sole hurt his eyes, the grinding pressure she exerted from above tortured his limbs, the terrible performance of Shakespeare above tormented his ears. He reached his hand out for Aria, holding his breath, hoping she could save him from the same gruesome fate of the lovers who defied the stars...
"Alright, that's enough. Very well done, both of you!" He could barely hear Ms. Solar's declaration from that distance. Of course, she was just being polite - but it lifted his spirits slightly. Surely, this would save his skin, if not his romance's dainty fingers... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
