You continued your journey through the woods, the forest growing ever darker as you venture further within. Soon, all that kept you from being encompassed by utter darkness was the intermittent shafts of light peeking through the canopy above, casting the whole forest into a dim gloom. Inwardly, you cursed yourself for having forgotten to pack something as essential as torches for your journey, and you could only hope that the forest wouldn't get any darker than this.
