Your way towards Hayato is surprisingly uneventful. On your way, you meet some people whom you ask for directions, to make sure you are going the right way, and by the end of the day, as the sun is already starting to set, you find yourself in front of the gates to Hayato village. The whole place is surrounded by a wooden palisade, and looks slightly more like a small fortress than a typical village.
There's only one guard standing in front of it. From her red scaly tail, wings, as well as some other scale-looking fragments of her skin, you can easily guess that she is a dragon girl. You also notice that her feet, clad in open-toed leather boots are actually looking quite a lot like normal human's, with the exception being long red claw-like nails, from what you could read in a book about dragon girls once, they are among the monsters with most varied balance between human-like and monster-like parts, some just have dragon tail and horns, while others can look almost completely like a dragon and even be quadrupedal. The dragon girl guard also has long red hair, complimenting the color of the scales, and is wielding a rather dangerous looking giant sword. Her armor is made of leather similar to her boots, and rather skimpy, seeming to be there more to just cover her nudity, rather than offer any actual protection.
She seems to have noticed your staring, as you soon realize she is looking straight at you with her yellow colored eyes.
"Who are you? State your business now!" She says in a rather threatening way
"Um... My name is Mary, and I would like to speak to your leader." You reply
"Is Lady Shinra expecting you?" Asked the dragon
Shinra must be the name of that kitsune who was former general of Monster Queen.
"No, I don't think so..." You reply honestly, lying to someone holding a giant sword like hers is definitely a bad idea
"And you expect me to just let you in like that?" Says the dragon girl slightly mockingly
"Isn't this village supposed to be coexisting with humans?" You ask
"Yes it is, however there recently have been some instances of humans wanting to play some kind of monster hunters. They were getting into the village and causing a mess, which is why Lady Shinra temporarily forbidden entrance to everyone aside from merchants. And you don't look like a merchant to me." Explained the dragon girl
"But I need to talk to her! I need her help to defeat the Monster Queen!" You said
"What?" The dragon girl looked completely baffled by your statement just now
"I need her help to defeat the Monster Queen!" You say again
"You... defeat the Monster Queen?" The dragon girl repeats after you, as if still processing what you just said, and right after that her expression becomes that of barely held back laughter
"Hahahaha! That's the best thing I heard today! You, with this little toothpick you call a sword, and piece of wood you call a shield... defeating Monster Queen? Buahahahaaha!" The dragon laughs mockingly at you
You can't help but look at her with mix of embarassment and annoyance, while she is clearly having good time making fun of you.
"Oh boy, I can't wait to tell the others..." The dragon finally says once she stops laughing
"So, can I get inside?" You ask slightly annoyed
"Tell you what, you made my day just now, so how about we strike a deal." Said the dragon girl
"What deal?" You ask
"Standing here all day made my feet hurt a bit, I could use someone to give me a nice foot rub, and perhaps a little cleaning from all the sweat I got on them. If you do that for me, I am gonna let you in." Says the dragon girl
You have a bad feeling about what she might mean about cleaning the sweat from them... and you never gave a foot rub before in your life.
"Isn't there any other way?" You ask
"Well, if you think that you are strong enough to take on Monster Queen, why don't you show me your skills? If you manage to beat me, I will let you in! I wouldn't suggest that though, I never met a human who could beat me yet. If you don't like any of those options though, then you have to turn back and leave." Says the dragon girl, seeming to be bragging a bit, and clearly not believing in your skills in the slightest
You take a moment to think, and ultimately decide to...
