bumb into a headless person seeking a head

As you move through the bustle, you bump shoulders with someone who catches your eye (so to speak). You turn to face the mystery person, letting your head get a good view too. He turned to see you too, as you find yourself starring at another headless man. He looked fairly similar to you, skin-covered neck stump and all, only he wasn't carrying his head.
"I wonder where his head is, maybe he's looking for it?" your head thinks aloud. The headless man looks nervous almost, turning his stump side to side as if checking for someone. You and your head's question as if he was looking for a head is suddenly answered as he quickly snags your head. He was certainly looking for his head, but didn't seem too picky as to who the head actually belonged to. You both pause for a moment before he bolts.
"Help! This isn't my body!" your head tries to call out to the bystanders around, watching with their jaws on the floor. They are too taken back by the headless pursuit to do anything.
You keep after the thief however, weaving in and out of the crowds. He takes a sharp turn down an alley that you follow. He runs right up to a fence, way too tall for him to scale, especially with a head tucked under his arm. He turns around to see you closing, you stop a few feet back from him, cornering him against the fence.
He looks like he takes a deep breath before holding your head up. "Wait, what are you doing?" your head calls down to the body holding it.
He then lowers your head onto his neck. Unlike when you tried to reconnect however, it works. You hear almost a suction noise as your head attaches firmly to his neck.
