You still cannot believe your eyes. You can feel your heart rate rising as you take in the macroscopic world around you. The creeping realization that the vial of "dyed water" was more than just a cute parlor trick is really starting to get to you. By your estimation, you couldn't be more than an inch tall, and the only person who even knew you were shrunk is... Rachel. Your ex-girlfriend. You couldn't believe how stupid you'd been. You should've known better than to drink unknown fluids, whether they had the power to shrink or not. You crane your neck to look up at Rachel, who's beaming with an almost sinister glee as she sizes you up with her massive eyes. You can't help but get the vibe that this shrinking wasn't exactly done in the name of fantasy fulfillment... at least not for yours, anyway.
The first instinct that strikes you is the one to run. You almost do just that, but then rationale slips back over you. Not only are you on bedspread, a terrain you've soon deduced is not exactly perfect for running on at your size, but you're also on the bed. A bed that is now, for you, hundreds of feet (proportionally) from the floor. A drop you couldn't possibly survive.
