"Uh oh," you say. The arm fell onto the floor with a pathetic thud. "S-sorry, Alyssa," you say feeling guilty.
"Hmm," Alyssa says thinking. "Mm... Oh well. Guess I'm left handed now," she says jokingly.
"Y-you taking this surprisingly well," you point out.
"Hey, I'm the one who pushed you into cutting off my arm. I was already prepared for this, sort of. Besides, I expected you to cut all the way to my shoulder, so it honestly could've been worse."
You couldn't disagree with that. You were tempted to cut higher.
"Besides. It's still clearly alive," Alyssa said poking her arm. "I think. No idea how it'll deal with not getting food or whatever, but I think we have time to figure that out. But worse case scenario, I live with one less arm."
That still sounded like a harsh scenario, but her casual attitude to it all put you at ease. "Well, we should still try to figure it out, just so we know."
