Chapter #5Time to start off a big investigation by: CMwrite The day was supposed to be a simple task of going to a school with a strange case of disapearance of students, oddly enough all of them being boys. How little did Jaune knew things wasn't going to be anything but simple as he goes to the school in question with his partner, Neo. Jaune was supposed to be at the school with his partner, but Neo had to deal with something before she can even make it to the school, so Jaune was the first to take the task to handle the case till Neo can come over to help with the case. He was at the gate, waiting for someone to give him some information of what might be going on at the area, but no teacher was around and the students weren't standing by to give him a minute as they were more focus on either their fellow classmates or going to their next class. At this point, Jaune figure he might as well go inside the school and see if maybe he can find a teacher or someone willing to help him.
He was about go inside the school until he saw someone breaking away from the other students, a girl with orange hair, white dress and black boots, seems to be looking at her phone and is making her way to around the corner.
"Hey, excuse me..." Jaune calls out to the girl who manage to stop what she is doing and seems to look at Jaune's direction.
"Oh, salutation." The girl says, "I don't recognize you. Are you a new student?" She asks.
"Um, no, I'm a dectective that's sent here to investigate the missing students." Jaune explains, with the girl looking at him and looking as if debating if Jaune is telling the truth. "I was trying to ask someone if they could help me give some information of what exactly happened to the students."
"I'm afraid I know very little information." She says. "All i'm aware of is that students have been reported to disappear when they turn the corner before anyone could spot where they went." She says. "I did experience such an event when i was talking with someone in the shed used by the PE class for outdoor acfivity." She says.
"Can you point me to the shed....ummm" Jaune relaizes he didn't asked the girl's name.
"My name is Penny." She says with a smile. "And right away." She says as she starts walking without Jaune having a moment to send a message to Neo of a possible lead.
The two walk where said shed is, near a running track and courtyard, and by the main building. The building is rather all and doesn't look like it can house much.
"Here we are sir." Penny says as she points to the shed. She opens the door to the shed and sure enough, there not much like Jaune thought, only items like basket balls, baseball, ect., with two shelves housing boxes near the corner of the shed that someone could hide behind to stuff somethings, but that's about it.
"Thank you." Jaune says as he enters the shed, "I'm going to stick around here for a bit, is ok you can send a teacher to me so i can finally talk witg someone about the missing students?"
"Sure thing, it shouldn't take me long." Penny says as she makes her way out the shed, shutting the door in the process. With Jaune by himself, he looks around the shed to see if something can even cause a person to disappear. Just looking at everything where they stand, nothing seems to stick out that begs to investigate, just the usual sports equipment. The whole shed is indeed small as it looks like it can barely hold ten people with everything inside. Only thing to check is the shelves, see if maybe somebody left anything that can be clue. Jaune walk to the otherside of the shelves, and sees nothing but the back end of the wall. Some boxes were stack in the shelves, but there was nothing of note. However, as Jaune was about to walk away from the shelves, he hears a noise, like a strange buzzing noise. He look around and was looking soon something that sticks out to him that he didn't notice before, a camera that was at the very corner of the shed, small enough that one wouldn't notice unless they look up.
"What the..." Jaune wonder if someone was watching him before the noise increase more and suddenly a strange cloud of dust shoots out from the sides of the wall. Jaune cough a bit as he looks at the wall and notices that there are vedy tiny holes in the walls where the dust shot out from. Jaune cough a bit as he felt a bit weird, he looks at his hand and sees that the dust was on his hand. Suddenly, he notice the area around him was getting weird, as if the whole area was growing around him. Jaune tried to go to the door to get out of the shed, but by the time he stood at the middle of the shed, the door was about as tall as a building, and still stretching higher and higher. Jaune panic as the woeld around him grew more and more, realizing that it isn't the world that growing, he's shrinking. As thing weren't bad enough, he hears something loud, as if booming earthquakes that grew louder and stronger as he shrinks more until he shrunk to a very pitiful small bug.
"Excuse me sir!" A voice could be hear echoing and muffle from someone, the otherside of the door, with the voice souding like Penny. Jaune panics as he looks and sees the door opening, revealing a mountain size Penny as she steps inside. "I almost forgot, what's your.... name...?" She asked before stoping herself to look around the shed. Seems she came back to ask Jaune his name since he didn't gave it to her before she left a minute ago, only to not see the detective.
Jaune panics as this is the last thing he could ever figure could happen to him, shrunken to a very tiny size while a towering girl looms over him. Meanwhile, Jaune watches the massive Penny stand by the door before... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
