Another good smack to the head and cat boy goes down. He tries to get up again but a few kicks to the chest fix that. His friends just watch as they always do. This time it was the neko curled up on the floor who picked the fight, but Arnold sure as hell finished it.
As much as these losers have grown, they are still no match for Arnold. Now more than ever he had to remind them of that fact. If ever the nekos think to team up it would be the end of him. But that won't happen. They're cowards and by making an example of each individially, Arnold would keep it that way.
Although his grades are below average, Arnold is no idiot. He knows what he's got to do to survive, and he knows that intimidation might not carry him safely all the way through his final year. Though it has worked well for the past three years, some of the monsters are starting to realise their own strenghth. What Arnold needs is people on his side.
If he formed a gang then it wouldn't matter if the nekos teamed up. Although a lot of the guys hating him, the power and safety of a gang in this kind of environment will surely appeal to those who don't feel all that secure in their place on the food chain.
An easier option would be to take a girlfriend. Arnold's superior strength is very appealing to girls, both human and monster. He's taken advantage of this fact many times, but maybe it's time to have someone permanent. She'd have to be a monster of course. A lot of the human girls Arnold has been with mysteriously disappear when word gets around, and he needs a monsters strength to help him scare off potential preditors.
The gang and girlfried ideas are both good, but neither will help with the trouble he's starting to get with the school staff. There was a time when even the teachers were afraid of him. Low grades would usually earn you an intimate lesson in the digestive process but Arnold had always been the exception. He isn't the kind of guy who'll go down without a fight so he always got higher grades than someone who does.
But how times have changed. Teachers these days don't mind giving him bad grades, though so far they have yet to try and punish him for it. They probably expect Principal Summers to do it for them. The giantess probably won't try it this afternoon when Arnold is scheduled to meet with him, but if his grades don't improve, Principal Summers just might follow through with her threats. The only way to avoid that is to knuckle down and improve.
There a three clear options. Arnold needs to choose what he's going focus on to make it through his final year. Should he form a gang, go steady with a monster or work on his grades.
