The greed, and the thought of how much money he could make from making fake sceptres convinced Adam to ask Simon, who at first refused. "No, you're digging us even deeper into this hole! It's bad enough we stole this sceptre, we'll be in even m ore shit if they find out we're selling fakes! Let's just go back to the pyramid, return it, and then we can go back home, innocent and guilt free!"
Adam laughed at Simon. "Come on, don't be a girl, I know you used to make forgeries, what's so different about this? We'll be rich, just think of all the girls who we can party with if we were rich!". Simon shuffled his feet, not wanting to disappoint Adam, but at the same time not wanting to go to an Egyptian prison over this.
"I stopped years ago, besides, I never did anything this complicated. I mainly did licenses, fake doctor notes and prescriptions." Simon replied, trying not to think of the money. This was a stupid thing to do, but he needed the money. He had a girlfriend back home who he wanted to marry. With this he could afford a grand ring and wedding, and an amazing life. "Fine, but don't come crying when it's obviously a fake."
Little did either of them know the curse was real, and their continued greed would result in dire punishments for the two of them. Handling the sceptre, Simon was given another test, and had the knowledge of how to forge it come into his mind. When he started work on it, he failed the test, and that night both men would be punished, though neither would know until long after.
Carefully getting the materials from different stores in the city, when he came back it was as if he was a master at Ancient Egyptian forgeries. The knowledge seemed to come out from his hands as he worked, and when he was done, it was an exact replica, though made of aluminum and brass, with some stones painted blue.
He was shocked at his skill, and began to become greedy like Adam. If he could do this once, he could do it again. Besides, the punishment for doing it once would surely be bad enough that doing it again. He had materials left over, and after a few hours had another forgery. This one they could hand over to their boss, and give them continued access to dig sites.
Adam was quite happy when he saw the two fakes. "One's to sell, the other is to give to the boss, that way we can still get to dig sites, find more items." Simon said, unsure if he should be enabling his friend like this. "This is perfect. Tomorrow we need to go back, we need to find more items." Adam said, grasping the sceptre in his hand as it glowed, which neither man still could not see.
Simon spent the day making more forgeries and buying the materials whenever he needed them, Adam making offers to various people. These people were quite aware they were making backdoor deals, and so met in mutual public locations to avoid backstabbing. The two were more then happy to pocket the money, though after today they would avoid the city when possible. If they did to much people would become suspicious, and come after them.
That night, their bodies slowly began to change. Their feet were transformed, changing in colour, and becoming obviously feminine. When they woke up they took little notice, and when their feet were to small for their shoes, they assumed their feet had lost weight, as though that somehow made any sense.
They set off for the dig site, searching around for more objects. Simon presented their 'find' to their boss, a large American business man, happy to take the item and all credit for it. When he went back, Adam was holding the sceptre, which made him worried. He seemed far to attached, but perhaps he just didn't want to lose it.
Using the sceptre almost seemed to give a sixth sense on finding items. After a few minor ones, they stumbled across something big.
