Teacher's wish for attention

Teacher was getting ready for bed.

It had been another day of being ignored and forgotten. People would bump into her, but they failed to notice she was there. Teacher would try to speak up, but no one seemed to be able to hear her.

Teacher wondered if this was how things were going to be for the rest of her life.

Suddenly, a shooting star flew through the night sky.

"I know this won't work, but still." Teacher closed her eyes and clasped her hands together. "I wish people would finally pay attention to me! I wish there was a way that people will finally notice me!"

She opened her eyes. Nothing happened. Teacher sighed and went to bed. She was asleep within minutes.
