Chapter #5

Hot-Spring Size Shenanigans

    by: Giantessvg Author IconMail Icon
Minato’s consciousness lazily returned as he arose from his involuntary nap. His vision was clouded by a hazy blur, his ears rang, his head throbbed violently, the blood within his arteries pumped with the intensity of a fire hose. Summing it up- he felt unpleasant to say the least. The first thing the blue haired boy noticed beyond his distorted senses was the heat which filled the air around him. Surrounding his body (which he now realized lay naked upon what felt like stone) was a hearty amount of steam. Even as Minato’s vision returned the density of this all encompassing mist kept his sight limited.

With a show of what could only be described as inelegance Minato flipped his body over, his chest and stomach flopping onto his stone bed with a slap. He fought the heat’s effect on his body as he pressed his palms against the slab of rock in an attempt to stand. Upon rising to his feet the teen thought back on where he was and why he had passed out. only one of theses questions could he answer after racking his brain.

Ironically the impermeable mist allowed Minato clarity in knowing where he was- The hot spring in his Kyoto hotel. Steadily he recalled spending time with his male friends here prior to passing out, this revelation brought with it the question of “where had they disappeared to?” Not far he hoped, the spring may as well have been a volcano at this point and Minato wanted nothing more than to leave as soon as humanly possible.

“Junpei? Akihiko-senpai? Ryoji-kun?” He called out, praying that noise, if nothing else, would pierce this solid wall of fog. Though he got no response.

Worry began to swell in the introverted boy’s chest. The possibility of them drowning in the spring upon passing out encroached upon every corner of his mind.

“HEY! Is anyone here?!” He cried, this time shouting as loud as he could manage. Thankfully he received the response he hoped for.

“Ugggghhhh” an indistinct groan echoed from behind Minato.

He hastily turned and began carefully walking towards the origin point of the pained noise until he could make out a silhouette through the haze. Whoever he was near had seemingly just awoken much like Minato, as the unknown form of indistinct features sat up and turned their head to look around the dense area. As the the leader of SEES encroached ever closer he could finally make out who it was he had found.

“Ryoji...” Minato acknowledged. The tone of his voice was equal parts relief and agitation. It wasn’t that he disliked Ryoji, in fact he had made rather quick friends with the... “flirtatious” transfer student; but Minato had honestly been hoping to find one of his Persona using teammates. He harbored a bond with them that he simply did not with the new kid. Despite this, he felt some kind of connection to the black haired philanderer.

“Is that you Minato-kun? What... happened? Where are-“ Ryoji Mochizuki was unable to finish his inquiries as the rocky ground beneath them began to quiver.

Gradually did the tremors grow in intensity as Minato was knocked off of his feet where he tumbled onto Ryoji. What had started as a minute and nearly unnoticeable shaking had transformed into a legitimate earthquake. The two boys were devoured by hysteria: naked, drained of energy and caught up in what must have been at least a magnitude 7.0 under these mysterious circumstances. Neither of them could have been prepared for what they would see next.

Like a pillar of light given physical form did the tan pillar descend, rending the previously opaque steam in twain. One could only describe the force of its impact upon the ground as awesome. Minato, for all the oddities he had encountered over the past year was dumbfounded. What he was faced with was more outlandish, more frightening, and more dangerous than any shadow he had encountered. In his mind he likened what he was witnessing to a god, meanwhile he was a mere ant.

The monolith of flesh identified by the teenage bugs as a foot continued is journey; lifting off of the sleek surface of the hot-spring floor it pushed forward. The gargantuan wall of skin was not alone as the trek was made however as a multitude of sets followed in its wake. Shaken both mentally and physically neither Minato nor Ryoji thought to set their gazes upon the faces of these towering people- that is, until they heard a familiar voice echo from on high.

———

“Wow! This hot-spring is huge!” Exclaimed Yukari covered by a snow white towel as she entered the steamy area.

In truth she had expected some miniature puddle seeing as the hotels website merely had the spring listed as a footnote. But the vast lake before was telling of how luxurious a hotel they were staying at. Gekkoukan high certainly spared no expense to ensure a comfortable stay. Though Yukari should have suspected as much seeing as it was a school funded by the Kirijo group.

“You’re right...” Fuuka joined in slightly taken aback. “It’s the size of a swimming pool.”

“So, this is an outdoor hot-spring. Unfortunately it’s therapeutic healing benefits will not help me.” Aigis stated as she surveyed the water to discern its contents.

Mitsuru sighed in response to her robo-companion’s obvious observation. “Regardless, let’s all enjoy ourselves. Right Takeb... Yukari?”

Yukari smiled back at her senpai whom she now had an burgeoning friendship with. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s hop in!”

———

Akihiko and Junpei (who for some inexplicable reason wore his hat even in the hot-spring) had near opposite reactions to the actions of the titans before them. The captain of the boxing team was red in the face from not just from the heat, but flustered embarrassment. The same was true for the ball-cap wearing underclassmen, the key difference between them however was that Akihiko covered his eyes whereas the younger more openly hormonal boy did not. Junpei’s eyes traced over every detail of the show playing out before his miniature form, though having been shrunk through unknown means was serious indeed: he would never be allowed this chance again, of that he was certain.

He begrudgingly ripped his leering eyes from the curvaceous forms of his peers to meet gazes with his senpai. “Akihiko-senpai, why are you covering your eyes? You realize they can’t see us right?”

“What do you mean why?!” Akihiko cried out as he sheepishly hid his face. “That’s Mitsuru out there! If she finds out about this she will...“

Akihiko’s voice drifted from a yell into utter silence. His hands which had previously covered his beet red face lowered to reveal the expression of someone who had just had a revelation. This quickly contorted into one of fear. This was not a face the frontline fighter of SEES expressed often, so it came as a shock to Junpei.

“What is it? Finally decided not to be a prude?” He prodded half-jokingly.

“There is no ‘if Mitsuru finds out’.” Akihiko proceeded to explain ignoring his friends playful demeanor, shattering it even. “She has to find out.”

Junpei’s mask of joviality quickly faded as he inquired further into what he meant. “I’m not sure I-“

“Junpei, the Kyoto trip ends tomorrow morning. If we’re not found by the girls by then, we may not make it home.” Akihiko swallowed the large amount of saliva forming from his fright. “And we’ll be shrunken down forever... or at least until we get stepped on.”

His eyes widening, Junpei began sweating bullets. “W-wait, then what do we do?!”

“Like I said, we HAVE to get their attention somehow. Our leader is likely coming to the same conclusion we are by now assuming he can see them through this steam. The question is how do we get them to notice us? We’re probably an inch or two at most.”

“What if we just... swam out to them?”

“Junpei, I’m saying this as your friend- that is the dumbest idea you’ve come up with since operation: babewatch” Akihiko admitted.

“You’re just jealous cause you lost.” He chided

“So did you! And it was Aigis she doesn’t count!” The boxer argued, clearly taking Junpei’s bait as easily as ever.

“Then you come up with an idea. Go on, i’ll wait.”

Akihiko’s brow furrowed as he thought about how they could be seen in this predicament until finally he landed upon a plan.

“We wait on their towels. They gave to leave the spring eventually, and when they do they’ll have to grab their towels.” He smiled, content with his less than perfect plan. “After all, our bodies are tan and the towels are white. We’ll stick out like a sore thumb!”

“How is that a good plan? It seems like we’re flipping a coin and hoping for it to come up heads.”

“And drowning in the spring is better? Seriously... let’s just go.”
