Yosuke Hanamura was fresh out of high school, having completed third year at Yasogami High, and off on a journey to discover what he wants to do. There were many potential career paths the young man could find himself taking, whether it be continuing to work in Junes' chain to rise up the management ladder, or something else entirely, Yosuke had a lot on his mind, and wanted to experience much as he decided. Luckily, Yosuke had the benefit of his girlfriend - whom he met and bonded with in third-year - who was willing to help provide him a possible career path in life. Yosuke's girlfriend was the best - funny, quick-witted, and had a fairly cushy semi-government job, which she was hooking him up a potential path with, he only worried his parents wouldn't approve of the relationship they shared...
Being that Yosuke's girlfriend was an android, of course.
"Alright, Yosuke-kun:" Labrys spoke as she guided her sweetheart through the Kirijo Group facility, "This here's the science and research department for the Group. They're looking into different things all the time here - somethin' about 'cognition' is being checked into right now, I think? I dunno, way over my head on this stuff. Should be fairly easy here though, just walk around and make sure none of this stuff gets touched wrong, no burglers breaking in. You see one of 'em, you whap 'em with the nightstick, then get Kirijo-san on the line! We'll make sure they ain't seen anything that don't need to be seen, then send 'em off to the pokey! Easy, right?"
"I mean, sure - just sounds like a usual security guard position. Just with more expensive, science-y stuff than Junes' electronics aisle." Yosuke rubbed the back of his head as he looked around the facility, full of gadgets and doo-dads - no people though. This unnerved him. It was after-hours, it was to be expected, since researchers had lives too, but he figured he'd at least see someone on this pre-job tour of the Kirijo Group building, other than Labrys pulling him around. "Hey, uh, Labrys-chan?"
"Hm? What's up, Yosuke-kun?" Labrys beat her eyelids as she looked into Yosuke's eyes - there was no dew in her mostly-LED scarlet-irised eyeballs, but gosh darn it, they made Yosuke's heart go pitter-patter like any human girls' would.
"I appreciate showing me around and everything, really, I do. But, uh... Couldn't we have done it on a better day, when there were people around? Kind of feels weird when it's just the two of us, being around all these strange sci-fi machines."
"Naaah, it's cool! Kirijo-san lets me have free roam of the halls here!" Labrys nonchalantly dismissed, missing Yosuke's concerns about how odd being alone, two people in a lab felt. "I trust ya enough, and so does she - don't think we gotta worry about bustin' up anything in here accidentally."
"That's... Not actually what I'm really concerned about. Well, actually, it kinda is." Yosuke pointed at a machine he spotted in the corner - it appeared to be a high-powered laser, like one would see in a tokusatsu show in the villain's lair, all black with purple lights and rings. "Like, what's that, over there? I don't like the way it's pointing in our general direction - like if it was a death beam, and it suddenly sprang to life or something... Gives me shivers just thinking about it!" Labrys chuckled.
"That ain't a death beam, silly! It's a... It's a... Actually, I dunno what the heck that is. But it ain't gonna fire at us or nothing outta nowhere, it ain't like, possessed by a Shadow or nothin'."
"I dunno, this feels a little too odd for security. I get Kirijo-san'd prefer a Persona-user, considering what she deals in, but this might be too much for a guy like me who hasn't even started college yet." Labrys pushed up against Yosuke, her cold metal body pressing up against Yosuke's through the fabric of their shirts.
"Aw, come onnnn, you just gotta! We can be co-workers and stuff every day when you ain't got classes! It'll be a blast! You'll get your own uniform and everything!" Yosuke smiled and chuckled.
"What, you mean like that?" Yosuke pointed at Labrys' clothing - a Yasogami High girls' uniform that loosely draped over her body, with the yellow school ribbon tied meticulously around her neck. Labrys fidgeted, blushing slightly.
"Wha- What about it?"
"C'mon, you can't tell me Kirijo-san lets you walk around all day in our school uniform! You gotta have some kinda cool black coat like Aigis-san's got, right?"
"She does too let me wear this when I want, thank you very much!" Labrys protested and pouted. "I like this uniform, it's easy to move around in! And I look cute as a button factory, too! Can't disagree, can ya?"
"Yeah, yeah, I guess..." Yosuke laughed, feeling a perfect opportunity to tease. "You know, if you walk Akihabara 24/7." Labrys blushed and gasped, before pressing her palms to Yosuke's chest.
"Aw, you big bully!" As Labrys pushed, she forgot her own robotic strength, and sent Yosuke flying back into the laser. As she gasped, upon realizing what she did, she watched as Yosuke hit his head, and for a brief moment, the laser sputtered to life, trained on Yosuke. She broke into a sprint, but it was too late - the laser zapped Yosuke on the nape of his neck, before Labrys divebombed her boyfriend, getting shot in her artificial cheek before both got out of the path of the beam. Yosuke rubbed his head, feeling sore and tingly all over. "Yosuke-kun, you alright? Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry!"
"No, no, it's fine. You're not hurt, are you?"
"Nah, not me - I'm metal, remember?" Labrys beat her fist against her breast, a reverberating clang of her fist against her chest being all the emphasis she needed. "How 'bout you, though. I'm sorry, I didn't think the laser was gonna turn on!"
"I'm good, my head hurts, but I'm..." Suddenly, Yosuke felt woozy, as Labrys tried to support him up. Yosuke felt dizzy, as a sense of vertigo overcame him - he looked as his hand, as it danced in his vision, and he felt a sensation in his wrist. "Wha... What is...?"
Yosuke was in awe, as between his blurred, fuzzy vision, he noticed his jacket becoming...
