BRAINIACS AND NERDS REBUILDING --
Valentine High's resident brainiacs, competitors on the school's "It's Academic" quiz show team, are trying to rebuild their team spirit and success after long-time advisor Mr. Brian Hubelit retired. His replacement, the young and feisty Ms. Susan Crowe, has her hands full pulling the brainiacs out of their funk, and attracting some new nerds to get the school's team back to Regionals!
Susan, or "Ms. Crowe" as the team members know here, has some unorthodox but potentially very filling tricks up her sleeve - or is that in her serving dishes?
SINGING AND OPERA SIZING --
Meanwhile, the Valentine High Glee Club, Songspiration, has been going from strength to strength with their new co-directors, Ms. Congdon and Mr. Svenson. Both wannabe Opera stars themselves, the two co-directors have attracted a huge range of new talent - or is that a range of huge new talent? - to the Glee Club, and the mighty combined voices of their expanding range can be heard all over the school - and the State, since winning the last Championships.
It would be a hard, heavy road to get to Nationals, though, with lots of big volume and hard work ahead...
