You open your eyes. Funny, you don't remember having closed them. You wake up to a small room, containing no more than a small cabinet the simple bed you're currently occupying. Noticing nothing much is happening by way of a tutorial, you stand up and leave the room. You've just passed the door frame when you hear another player materialize on the bed behind you with a soft *pop*. She decided to start out as female you quickly deduce, before watching in amazement as her body quickly twists and changes into innumerable different forms. She starts to grow bright red fur, before it quickly changes to silver, and then it falls out entirely to be replaced by reptilian scales. Her legs merge together into a thick, snakelike tail, then splits into many tentacles before converging back together into a mermaid fin, and finally changes entirely into a tauric lower body.
"Must have bought the deluxe edition with its enhanced character creation", you mumble quietly, before leaving the room and its constantly morphing occupant behind you. Following the corridor, you soon arrive to the sounds of a busy tavern. Before you can enter, you're quickly approached by an npc, a cute cat anthro, who gives you a quick rundown of the game's main mechanics. HP is your health, lose it all and you die. This being a fetish game though, hp damage isn't that common the cat quickly assures you. Besides a few exceptions, monsters will try to incapacitate you by filling your knock-out meter, or draining your willpower. When your knockout-meter gets completely filled, you are rendered unconcious. when your willpower is fully drained, you will be unable to resist your foe's charm until it restores. He also warns against braving foes who are much higher leveled than you. If the level difference is too great, their knock-out damage will start to get converted to raw hp damage. When you question him on skills, he admits he knows only little. The game wishes to reward exploration, so there's no static skill tree to pick from. Instead, you can stumble across them in your adventure, or you'll be given a limited selection to choose from any time you level up. He also grants you some starting gear, which you happily equip.

When asked what your first goal should be, he again repeats that's it's completely up to you. Again though, he warns against starting too much trouble within the city. If things threaten to get out of control within city walls, the game will spawn special guard NPC's to intervene. Players taken by them are never seen again. He continues by saying that most players eventually take a trip to the grand university, to change their body to their liking, but dissuades you from making this your first quest. It can only be done once so you should be explore a bit first, to make sure that you'll be satisfied with the result. Further, it's quite costly, beyond the wealth of a starting player.
He eventually does recommend some courses of action. The first would be to walk around the Citadel to make some money. Plenty of shopkeepers have small and large issues which can only be resolved by a player. Another would be to join one of the city's many guild. Quests offered by them are more risky but carry greater rewards. They also offer a great way to introduce a player to the area around the citadel, though he advises you to always look at the recommended level. Finally, you can mingle with the rest of the players in the tavern. Most only just started their adventure like you, and bonding together will let you overcome tasks you've no hope of beating on your own.
His introductory spiel finished, he quickly moves over to the next player emerging from character creation to repeat it. You look around the tavern, and notice the cat was right. Most players here have the same fish out of water look that you undoubtedly have plastered on your face as well. Hell, many even wear the exact same leather outfit you are! Oddly enough, you only see a couple pure humans like yourself. There's a good helping of full anthros, some taurs, and even a you-don't-even-know-what-that-thing-is-supposed-to-be, but most of the pink-skinned, furless players have some sort of animalistic ears perched on their head or a tail swaying above their bottom. The deluxe edition must have sold better than you thought...
Closer to the bar, you also see some players who are clearly much more experienced. They seem to be enjoying themselves, observing their newer colleagues emerge from the corridor. You know that in other games, some veteran players go out of their ways to show newbies the ropes. Considering the content of this one however, they might just well be looking for an easy mark to abuse.
You decide you'll...
