Deep down, each of you feared that something did happen with those cookies. Maybe that's why the pause after eating felt so heavy with tension. You felt like some monster was about to jump out at you all of a sudden. Fortunately, there's no such monster... for now. Instead, you felt a horrid sensation. All of a sudden, the world around you grew bigger... and bigger... and bigger. You soon realized you were shrinking! You and your friends!
"What the-?!" you shouted out.
"I knew it!" Kevin shouted as he too shrunk.
"Shut up, Kevin!" Maria spat back as she shrunk. Soon, you all were barely taller than the grass around you. Before you could consider your situation further, you heard that accent.
"I told you, something terrible would happen!" the lady in the house said. "You're in no condition to walk around yourself!" Then, she stepped out, holding a jar. You all collectively tried to run away, but, in a couple of strides, she was already upon you. You could only watch and run futilely as the jar slid forward. It scooped you and your friends up, and she brought it up, holding it right side up. The three of you had no chance of escaping. "Who knows when the effects will wear off? I'll have to keep you safe in my house until then."
