Jennifer was enjoying the movie far more than she expected to. The plot was captivating, the characters were compelling, and the colors were so... so... pretty. She was so mesmerized by the film that she didn’t realize that her hand had stopped bringing popcorn to her mouth, but instead stayed pressed against her lips as she sucked her thumb.
She was suddenly broken out of her pleasant trance by a sudden jolt. She rubbed her forehead in sudden confusion and then wiped her thumb off when she felt it wet with what she failed to realize was her own drool. After which she tried to get back into the movie. But before she could reach the same level of hypnotic euphoria she felt another sharp nudge to her chair. The second time she realized that someone was kicking her seat. Her first thought was to just let it slide, it was probably nothing more than a hyperactive child, and she knew her fair share about those. But before she could take a deep breath and count to ten her mystery kicker struck again, taking her off guard, and causing her to turn around and look back for a sharp whispered scolding. But what she saw in the soft glow permiating the projector screen gave her a confused shock she was not prepared for.
Behind her sat a woman in her late twenties to early thirties, with blonde curly hair tied into pigtails on either side of her smiling face, swinging her long bare legs that ended in shiny black maryjane shoes over frilly yellow socks. And every time she kicked one of her legs She moved away her short yellow sundress enough to give Jennifer a look at a big wet diaper. What’s more Jennifer remembered walking past this woman and her daughter in the theater lobb, and she by no means looked or acted as she did now. And before she could even begin to think of what to say under these new apparent circumstances the woman’s daughter reached over and grabbed her mothers arm and softly yet sternly told her “Molly, remember what we talked about, no kickies, other people want to watch the movie”
“Ok mommy” Molly said obediently before diverting her energy to bouncing up and Down in her seat.
