Ray sighs as he tinkers with his suit, just a little more and it'll be ready for his mission. Since Nora had turned herself in nobody had been allowed see her, Ray himself had been rather intensely stonewalled and nearly thrown out of the Time Bureau when he stunk away to find her cell and go visit her. He promised he'd visit her and help keep her sane while she served her time and he was a man of his word, even if he had to do it the Legends way: completely ignoring authority figures and doing it yourself
"Gideon, is the program ready?" he asks putting down his tools
"Yes Mr Palmer, it should imbed itself into the cell's coding and enable you to control it from your suit, once it was uploaded to the correct room of course" came the AI's usual even tone
Ray smiles and starts putting on the ATOM suit "Thanks Gideon, and if possible could you ensure the team doesn't find out about this?"
"Find out about what?" he jumps, nearly falling over onto his butt but instead turns and see's Sara standing at the door, looking curious "What are you doing Ray?" she asks
"Did a few tweaks and upgrades to the ATOM suit, thought it would be a good time with nothing happening to give it a test flight, nothing wrong with that is it Captain?" he asks, swallowing loudly and starting to sweat under her gaze
Sara sighs "You are still a really bad liar Ray, but given how badly you want to keep this a secret I'll allow it..." she then jabs him in the chest with her finger "...but you better be back here tomorrow, or I'm sending the entire team looking for you, got that?" she asks, though there was only one answer
"Yes Sara, I'll be back before morning" Ray smiles and Sara relaxes
"Whatever you're going to do, please don't do anything to stupid, at least not by yourself" she warns, though there was concern in her voice
"You got it boss, no bad things for me" he waves and Sara rolls her eyes but walks away. Once she left Ray put on the rest of his suit, as well as pull out the Time Courier he'd 'borrowed' from Gary to get into the Time Bureau undetected.
Once the gateway opened he shrunk down to bug size, flying though and closing the breech behind him. Getting from the main office to the prisoner cells would have been a problem, except Mona was on food rounds, enabling him to hitch a ride through security and into the prisoner quarters. Nora's was surprisingly easy to find, mostly because she was the only human they had... and her name was on the security panel.
Flying through a vent Ray makes his way to the identical panel on the inside of the cell, mostly so it would take longer for any form of tampering to be noticed. Flying over to the touch pad Ray transmit his control code to the device, which beeped and flashed for a minute but besides that there were no problems, no flashing red lights or harsh sirens, he was pretty sure he was in the clear. "And here we go" he says mostly to himself as he pressed a button on the gauntlet and the force field drops.
"Oh crap, I really hope this isn't what I think it is" Nora thinks out loud and she moves from her lying position, putting the book she'd been reading on the small table beside her and sat up, her bare feet padding against the floor as she moved to the side of her bed.
'Nora looked so innocent there reading, even if it's a murder mystery, hey that's the same one Ava was reading maybe when Nora's free she can join book club. Or not, well anything's better than Mick's literary erotica' Ray thinks as he watches Nora for a moment, the though of Nora reading Mick's book following a few other things he'd rather not think about, he'd had enough dreams involving himself and Nora, most normal enough, but some with him small enough to fit in her hand, between her rather nicely sized breasts, filling her pus... no! now it not the time for fantasising, this was a covert visit and nothing was to ruin that. Well except the force field glitching out
"Crap, Gideon what's going on?" he asks, increasing the speed in which he shot towards the not so evil witch
"It would appear the first thing Mr Haywood had Miss Tomaz fix and upgrade was the security of the magical creature cells, it's fighting the virus" Gideon explains, this didn't exactly help Ray's worried mood, especially when the energy field came back online at full power.
BZZZZZZZZZZZ
Just as he crossed the threshold. Energy coursed through the ATOM suit, the system not able to handle this much energy at it's miniaturised size. With the suit fried though still retaining the momentum it had previously Ray was hurtling towards Nora Dahrk with no control or steering beyond rather uselessly flailing his arms and legs around like a crazy person, so this was not going to end well for him
Where does Ray end up?
1) He rather luckily ends up falling into Nora's open shirt, getting caught in her bra/cleavage, but also rather quickly noticed by the woman he'd just used the chest of as an airbag
2) Ray hits the ground with a thump just beside Nora's foot, the startled and slightly disgusted woman thinking he was a bug that got in when the force field was down and tries to crush him. Ray has to avoid getting smushed as well as try get some less violent attention from his not quite girlfriend, preferably before people notice he's missing or that her cell malfunctioned
3) Ray lands on the bed, Nora notices out the corner of her eye and after figuring out it was him and hearing what and why he did it, tells him that's the nicest and dumbest thing she's ever heard, but she's happy he's here to relieve her boredom, even if it means he's a prisoner just like her.
