As Piper entered the single, cramped bathroom of the Black Household she actually felt her hips brushing the doorway. Wearing a cozy, maroon-colored fall sweater that just barely failed to cover the swell of her considerable paunch, Piper tried to maneuver her bulk past the various clutter that a bathroom shared by three (four kinda!) women accumulates, and make it to the scale.
It was an old, well worn thing, white at one point, now more of an off-white with rust eating at the edges, but it still worked. It was one of those old-fashioned kinds with a face like a clock, a big red needle, and numbers going around in a circle from 0 to 300.
Piper took a deep breath, sucked her gut in (she hoped it would help somehow) and stepped on the scale. She could feel the thing bending under her feet. Once she moved her mammaries out of the way to actually see the scale, her heart sank.
The red needle was at the 300 point, and straining, wiggling with all it's might, to go past the limits, the breaking point of the scale. Piper decided to get off it before it really did break under her.
She looked in the mirror and rolled up her sweater, revealing a round gut that grew out of the swell of her hips in a single, smooth roll, with a little cleft at the bottom and a horizontal slit for a belly button. She reached one hand under it and gave it a contemplative jiggle. It felt heavy in her hand.
Sometimes, Piper Black thought she was a fat kid trapped in a hot girl's body. She hadn't really done much to lose weight in high school. Her diet changed, but that was all her mothers doing. Puberty did the rest for her. So mentally, she never fully adjusted to being this hourglass shaped bombshell everyone else saw. Which might explain her recent 'growth spurt.'
The fat kid trapped inside Piper Black had gotten out.
It was October 31st, the start of the holiday season. Between now and January 2nd, would be a non-stop obstacle course, as she'd be tempted with a barrage of fattening treats at every angle. She knew from previous experience that if she didn't prepare herself for a major diet, she would easily gain 30 to 50 pounds this time of year. And over 300 pounds, there was no way she could let that happen.
She sighed. She always knew her weight could slip if she wasn't careful, but how did it get this out of hand?
Her thoughts were interrupted by someone pounding on the door.
"Just a freakin' minute! Gawd!" Piper bellowed. She assumed it was Parker, being a bitch and trying to monopolize the bathroom. It was not.
"I'm taking Hunter out trick-or-treating, I need you to watch the door and give out candy!" Her mother called out from beyond the door. Harper decided to ignore her daughters attitude today.
Piper sighed. "OK, I'll be right out!" The barrage of temptations was already started. But she could do this! She was Piper Black, kick ass, take no-shit, street rat! Wasn't she? Looking back at the pile of pudge her reflection, she didn't see that person. She saw 'Porky Piper' looking back at her...she could still do this, right?
