Karma seemed to be hitting Rainbow with a double edged sword at this moment. The door did open and one of Rainbow’s friends was standing at the entrance. Potential help had come to her right away instead of having her find a way out to get to it. But unfortunately, of all the girls it could have been, Rainbow was staring eye to eye at the unmistakable sight of giant cowboy boots.
“Oh course it had to be her.” She muttered quietly to herself. Though Applejack would likely help her, the giant definitely would not let her live this mess down. Speaking of giant, Rainbow was just starting to take in how huge her friend was to her now. It was one thing to see a gigantic room or building sized furniture or things like that, but seeing a living being towering like this was a very humbling experience for the miniature soccer star. It honestly made her dread the inevitable “I told you so” speech even more.
“Rainbow? Ya still in here?” The giant called as she stepped inside. The shrunken girl barely had the time to dive out of the way of the incoming cowboy boot. Applejack really didn’t notice her dispute standing right in front of her. A thought that made Rainbow hate this situation even more. Applejack however soon spotted something of interest as she reached where Rainbow was sleeping earlier, which now had some abandoned clothes and a half empty can of the drink that got her into this mess.
“What in the-?” She didn’t finish the sentence as she picked up the shirt and then the drink. “Dang it I knew those sleezeballs couldn’t be trusted. This stuff put rainbow out of her mind.” She put the clothes down and looked for a safe place to dump the remaining liquid.
“Though she probably deserves to be knocked down a peg or two right now… no I should figure out where she got to. Don’t want her gettin’ in too much trouble.”
As Rainbow watched this all unfold, dreading the moment she would have to get AJ’s attention, she realized something. Apple left the door open when she entered the room. She didn’t have to get attention from her. She now had choices with who she got to help her. Someone she could trust. Someone who wouldn’t rub in the fact that she should have listened. She just had to run out and carefully keep safe until she found someone she trusted enough. Shouldn’t be too hard for her. But there was a risk to this as well. Maybe she should just swallow her pride and approach AJ. Get this all over with faster.
