The day was off to such a bright and beautiful start, and a certain trio of young and adventurous teenage girls from Canterlot High School was determined to make the most of it. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo had hoped to hang out with their older friends from school, but they were all too busy with plans of their own. Applejack had a lot of chores to do on the farm, and Rarity was scheduled to host a fashion shoot with Rainbow Dash as her model, while Pinkie Pie made a promise to help Fluttershy at the animal shelter. Even Sunset was too preoccupied to make time for the fun-loving trio.
With everyone else busy, there was only one person left for the girls to spend time with. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo casually walked along the sidewalk, making their way to the home of their friend, Twilight Sparkle.
"I hope Twilight's not too busy to hang with us, too." Scootaloo said while riding her scooter next to her friends.
"Knowing her, I'm willing to bet she's busy studying or working on one of her science projects." Sweetie Belle replied before sighing with exasperation. "It'll probably be something we wouldn't understand."
"Still doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe we could hang out with Twilight anyway. After all, she is our friend." Applebloom added.
"I guess so." Sweetie Belle said, her face brightening up again.
"That's the spirit. Twilight loves hanging out with friends. I'm sure she'll be happy to see us." Applebloom said in a cheerful manner as the girls reached their destination.
As they turned the corner towards Twilight's house, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo stopped in front of her doorstep and knocked on the front door, waiting for their intelligent friend to answer. But unbeknownst to the trio of teenage thrill-seekers, there was something strange happening nearby that was going to spell disaster for them. They waited in front of Twilight's house, blissfully unaware of the fate waiting for them either inside or outside the door.
