It was a Saturday afternoon when Jake was riding his skateboard down the street when he passed the small public park in New York City. The park was located right next to a chemical plant where lots of pharmaceuticals were being made. A large truck had just moved away from the plant and passed the park entrance, when a tire blew, causing the large truck to veer off the road and slam into a fire hydrant.
There was no damage or anything, however, the tank on the back of the truck ruptured, spilling toxic chemical waste on to the sidewalk and onto the park land. The chemical waste then caused a nasty odor, which created a funny, pink cloud. This strange fog started to hang over everyone in the park. Everyone who was hanging out at the park started to breathe the air, which was tainted with the toxic chemicals.
As Jake skated down the sidewalk, he spotted the cloud and he skated right through it! His eyes were burning, and he started to sneeze! Then, something else happened. He saw people at the park begin to grow fat rapidly! People around him started to gain weight and burst out of their clothes, as if they had gained thirty, forty, or even fifty pounds of fat in just a matter of seconds!
Jake stopped and hopped off his skateboard when he felt a tingling sensation all over his body. He then gasped when he realized that….
