“I know this restaurant a few blocks down. I was heading there myself till I met you.” Asui said, pointing to Hedoro’s right.
“A-ah, a restaurant?” Food? “... Isn’t it kind of early?” Hedoro asked. It’s almost 8am, same time the Cultural Festival was going to begin. Restaurants are places you would go for maybe lunch or dinner.
“Yes but I am planning to meet a friend of mine for Breakfast. The restaurant serves in the morning too, ribbit.” Asui said. The street is slowly getting busier and the sidewalk they were standing was getting busy as well. “Let’s start heading there.” Asui suggested and Hedoro nodded.
A restaurant? I-is this a date? No no, that is silly. No way this cute frog wants to date a total stranger. C-could she?
Asui and Hedoro walk to this mysterious restaurant as the street grew livelier. The city is getting more alive, with students and workers walk past them. Hedoro notice a pro hero in uniform as well, across the street. She looked a little like a dragon.
“So, who are you meeting?” Hedoro brought up. He might as well make some small talk.
“Ribbit?” Asui didn’t understand the question. She is avoiding the oncoming crowd.
“Well- oof,” Hedoro bumped shoulders with a girl with pink skin. He quickly tried to apologize but the girl is already gone. “You mention you are meeting a friend. Who are you meeting with?” Hedoro reaches out a hand and grab Asui’s shoulder, to make sure she didn’t get too far ahead. The morning crowd tried to push their way through the other of them, hoping to reach the train in time. The touch cause her to croak in surprise.
“My friend from U.A. is meeting me. She is suggested we eat there this morning before we do our activities.” Asui said, politely shaking off Hedoro’s hand as the crowd lessens. Her tongue dangles a bit out of her mouth.
Hm? Her friend? So she wasn’t lonely? Then why did she invite me? I guess it was too much assumption to think of this as a date. Hedoro thought. His glowing green eyes darken with his anxiety.
After turning a corner, Asui comes to a pause. “We are here, ribbit.” Hedoro looks up and readtherestaurant’sname.
