This choice: Sage Mode Training With Moegi • Go Back...Chapter #3Sage Mode Training With Moegi by: Haro-Haze   It's been three days since Naruto's fateful battle with the Akatsuki member known as Pain, and Naruto, as the hero who saved the village from total annihilation had become something of a celebrity. People from all over wanted to thank him or show their appreciation, from verbally thanking him too buying him Ramen at the temporary establishment of Ichiraku.
Because of this, Naruto had to change the location of his training twice due to constant interruptions. He only told Konohamaru where he was going, so he could reach out if something of importance happened. Naruto then headed out to the mountain range behind the Hidden Leaf Village.
Once there, he found a large tree stump with a smooth surface, as if it had been chopped down in one swing, making it an ideal spot for him to meditate and train his mind. His power is Sage Mode was substantial, but only allowed him to produce two Rasen-Shuriken. Since he wouldn't always have the time to prepare for battle as he did against Pain, Naruto decided to find a way to make that power last longer through training.
He started by clearing his mind of all thoughts(which wasn't too difficult) and just listened to the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind, the sounds of birds flapping their wings in the air. It was so quiet that he could even hear the rustling in the grass as bugs brushed them aside. Naruto made himself one with Nature, creating a vessel within himself for the energy to travel through.
However, what Naruto didn't realize was that there were different types of Nature Energy in the world, each with different effects. Naruto had only used the Frog variant during his training at Mount Myōboku and once since at a local waterfall outside the Hidden Leaf Village. Both times there were frogs and Toads present to draw power from, among other sources such as trees and rivers.
However, this time, the only living creatures that Naruto had to draw power from were insects, meaning he'd take on their properties instead, ignorant of this detail as his body began to shrink to match their size. It made even worse as he tried to accumulate as much Nature Energy as possible, not only shrinking himself smaller but faster as well.
A few minutes passed, and Naruto was still unaware that he'd been shrunk to only an inch tall on top of the stump. However, that was quickly about to change as someone else from the village approached the opening. The vibrations of her footsteps shaking the ground, getting Naruto's attention.
"That's weird, could have sworn Konahamaru said Big Bro Naruto would be right here." Boomed the voice of Moegi, leaving Naruto stunned after half an hour of absolute silence. Why was she yelling? She couldn't have been more than five feet away by the sound of her voice.
Naruto opened his eyes, still looking down and holding his head to compensate for his headache. Losing focus as he turned his head to the right, shocked by the scale of his surroundings. He was seeing the world through the eyes of a bug for the first time, and it was honestly more than a little intimidating.

"Huh, what is this?" Moegi boomed again, suddenly bringing Naruto's attention back to her. She was massive compared to him, her confused face hovering in the sky above him, in the same way, the Hokage's stone faces hovered above the village. She was holding a notepad in her hand, likely looking for a story for the village newspaper.
Naruto's spit pooled in the back of his mouth before being nervously swallowed as Moegi squinted to see his tiny body. "Is that...Big Bro Naruto?" Moegi asked, shocked by the fact that he was so puny compared to her now.
"Wait a second. That makes perfect sense. Of course, you shrunk yourself. That way, your training has a strong impact, defending yourself from giant animals would prove more difficult than training by yourself." Moegi explained it to herself a matter of factly, unable to believe that Naruto was dumb enough to shrink himself accidentally.
"But wait, you're trying to get stronger. I know, you obviously wanted to keep this a secret, but since I know now, I can be your training partner. Don't worry, I know how to keep a secret." Moegi said, perking up, not letting Naruto get a word in edgewise as she did all the talking.
Like everyone else in the village, she wanted to help repay Naruto somehow for saving them from Pain, and while she was no good to him as a training partner at his normal size, she was sure that she could help him while he was so tiny.
What does Moegi have in mind for a warm-up?
1.Moegi notes that the stump Naruto's standing on is a perfect sitting height for her, turning around to give Naruto a good look at her panty-clad butt under her skirt. She gives Naruto little time to prepare, giving him a brief explanation that his training is to attempt holding her over his head.
2.Moegi picks Naruto up and sits on the stump in his place, taking a moment to think of a way she can help him train. Eventually, dropping him on the ground between her knee-high sandals and removing them to show her bare feet. She then squeezes him between her feet, telling him to hold them off without a timer.
3.Moegi compares herself to one of Pain's giant summonings compared to Naruto, thinking that she would make an excellent practice partner for the one-inch tall ninja. Spicing up their battle with the condition that the winner will become the loser pupal, not believing she will win, but progressively becomes more confident during the fight.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
