As he hurried out the class room he caught sight of Nicole rushing into the nearest girl’s restroom.
What happened to her? He asked glancing at the ring.
She has started feeling the effects of her new pregnancy, the voice explained curtly.
“Effects? What sort of effects?” Connor asked still very unfamiliar with all the symptoms of pregnancy.
Most likely nausea and vomiting from morning sickness, the voice explained further.
“Vomiting don’t make her do that!” He cried not wanting his friend’s sister to have to go through that.
Nichole had just kneeled at the toilet seat and threw her head back in preparation to hurl, when suddenly the nausea was completely gone. Nichole blinked in astonishment as she felt perfectly fine. She slowly stood up and wondered what had caused her sudden sickness.
It is done, the voice decreed. “So, Nichole is now pregnant?” He asked leisurely walking to the restroom Nichole darted into.
Yes, a child grows within her, the voice exclaimed in the same hokey tone. “I don’t know about this, is she gonna have to give birth, that’s painful right, I don’t want her to be hurt, and who’s the father?
Yes, Yes, Yes, and YOU ARE, the voice answer with dramatic flair at Conner’s new paternity. Connor froze in his place as the implication washed over him.
“What I don’t want kids, this is crazy, we’re too young for this, you have to fix this.” He exclaimed grabbing his ring hand and shaking it in a panic.
Caught a little of guard the voice was silent for a moment before replying. Excuse me?
“I mean, I just think pregnant women look hot… I uh, I like their big bellies.” He explained blushing intensely.
What seriously, ahem I mean, do you wish that there was child and she would only appear pregnant, the voice inquired its authoritative façade dropping for a moment.
Connor looked off in the distance before looking back at the ring, and uncertainly responded with a shrug. “I guess, that would work.”
