Ice Cream Interrupted

You decide to head into town to the local ice cream shop, as you feel like treating yourself and having a frozen treat on this fine morning. Your mother would probably object, but not if she didn't know. You slip out of the house and start heading to the center of town. As you walk, you make sure to turn into certain alleys and side paths. Your tactic for reducing the amount of incidents had been working for a while, that being changing your route every once in a while. Sometimes you couldn't believe some people at the Bay would go as far as to stalk you to get at you.

As much as you would've enjoyed an incident-free morning, the stars didn't align for you in that regard, as when you are passing by a row of bushes...
