Penny Parker's eyes immediately flicked open as soon she awoke from her pleasant slumber. The redhead was just so excited and invigorated about the day ahead (and okay maybe a tiny bit nervous too.) She jumped from her bed, grabbed her glasses, and traded her pajamas for the fully ironed uniform from where she left it hanging the night before.
This was it! Her first real day as an R.A.! Penny thought back to her first day as a Freshman last year as she dressed. Last year she had just been so captivated by how…well…BIG…everything was here on Buttercombe’s campus compared to her home town. Large academy buildings, which held plenty of classrooms, and so much to learn! Penny was top of her class back at her old middle school so it was no wonder she’d been accepted to the academy and been so eager to be there! Such good grades had come at the cost of her social life, but even that changed a bit during her first year at Buttercombe. New teachers, new classes, and new foods to try (a LOT of new foods,) and of course a few new friends. Truthfully though her R.A that year had really been the best of the best, helping her with anything Penny needed. Last year had just been sooo perfect!
Now she was living her dream and just wanted to be that same friendly guiding light to all the girls on her floor. Oh yeah, Penny Parker was ready! She gave herself a once over in her bathroom’s mirror and saw that her shirt was still untucked. She sucked in her tummy and quickly tucked her shirt in, it was a tight squeeze, but she managed to find room for it between her belly and her waistline. At 180lbs she could still squeak by and call herself ‘chubby’ and not out and out fat, but then again losing the weight she’d gained since coming here had never been that high on her too do list anyway…but was absolutely somewhere on her to do list…more towards the bottom..honestly! In fact-
Stepping out from the bathroom Penny saw something that stopped her train of thought completely! Apparently a note had been delivered under her doorstep overnight! Oh! Penny could see immediately from the envelope the note had came in, that this was straight from the Headmistress!
Quickly going over the letter Penny found it said….
