Chapter #7

Negatively

You almost wanted to lash out, "You THINK you got carried away? I'm gonna be coughing up foot sweat and dirt all night." But you kept those thoughts bottled up and said, "I think...I think I just need to get some rest you know? Could you please get the door?" You wished you could get it yourself, the more free you could be the better.

"Yeah lemme just carry you so you don't have to walk." Chelsea said going down to pick you up but you quickly backed away.

"No no that's fine, I'm just fine on my own thank you." Chelsea clearly didn't like where this was going but decided to open the door anyway and waited for you to walk out.

You were slower than usual thanks to recent events but you eventually made it and waved good bye. As soon as you got in your house, you took an immediate shower. "If I ever touch another foot again it'll be too soon." You thought scrubbing away at your self. You probably went over board washing your hair and body multiple times but you made reason of it, after all, you were covered in foot sweat.

Next came brushing your teeth, the water in the shower can only wash the taste out so much. This wasn't as easy as just washing your body, the taste really seemed to linger.

For the rest of the day you just tried watching TV and left your phone on silent. "I can talk to her...some other time. Just not now."

The next morning you absent mindedly checked your phone and saw a bunch of texts from Chelsea, 13 to be exact. They mostly said "Are you OK?" or "I'm really sorry" and one said "Are you gonna come to my game this Sunday?" You got rather mad at that last one. You weren't quite sure but some part of you wanted to completely burn that bridge, but you settled by saying "I'll see and yeah I'm all good."

"Do I wanna go to your game!?! So what? So you can throw me in your shoe? Use me as a sweat rag? Well she can find another friend. Cause I refuse." Of course you didn't say this. To her at least, but to yourself as you ranted like a mad man.

"Alright but now the hard part? How do I avoid her?" This led to a fair amount of planning. One thing was for sure, no unnecessary trips. "I'll spend my time inside and only venture out for food. This will only be temporary anyway, I'm sure I'll be over this soon."

You're plan was actually perfect, you never crossed paths with Chelsea. That didn't stop her from trying to reach out to you though. She knocked on your door and you answered, really hoping it was anybody else. "Hey Chelea, what brings you here?"

She chuckled kinda nervously. "Well I live right next to you haha. But um no I rented some really dumb movies and bought some junk food. Come on let's go watch em, it'll be fun." This was a common thing y'all did. It was practically a ritual. Anytime either of y'all were having a bad day, y'all would sit around and watch terrible movies and eat. And it was never made a rule but you never declined, cause you know, best friends.

You really weren't in the mood though and it hurt in a way to say it but you replied with, "No thank you, I actually uh got a busy day tomorrow. I'm trying to get a head start on some school work. I really would but, grades ya know."

"Yeah, I understand...hey maybe I could-" You closed the door before she could finish. You already knew she would ask to help you out on school work, there was no school work though. Plus you had no other excuses left. "Or not..." You heard her say before she walked off.

The next day was complete smooth sailing no interruptions, just binge watching some shows you needed to catch up on. The next day was game day. You tried to go to all her games but there was always a fear of being sat on or crushed or what have you. This never really stopped you of course cause that's living in fear, something you hated.

You were almost back to your dorm, ramen in hand, when you heard Chelsea call out your name. "Thomas! There you are, I've been looking for you." You looked around, the door was too far away to make an inconspicuous exit, and no one else was paying attention to the situation for you to make any sort of "help me" gesture. "Anyway, you coming to my game tonight? I talked to our coach and she said you could chill on the outside of my bag, no fear of getting crushed plus you get the best seat in the house to watch me win, all free of charge."

"Well I'd love to but-" You weres cut off by her snatching you up. Oh god, this isn't good. You thought as she carried you to who knows where. You were placed down and released to see that you were on her bed, in between her legs as she sat criss cross style to prevent you from running. "Look Thomas, I'm sorry for what I did, really I am. And I know you're trying to avoid me till you cool off but I'm not waiting for however long that may be. So what do I have to do to make you my friend again? And I'm not leaving till I get a genuine answer, the game be damned."

You were shocked to say the least. What did you want? Was she really gonna miss the game for me? Ah this is so confusing. "I want____."

You have the following choices:

1. To be friends again

*Noteb*
2. You to leave me alone

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
