Adaption or Prequel?

Before the story has the protagonist growing too big and pooping, it mentions the magical girl forming a contract with the toilet spirit and doing the growing on a weekly basis. We could adapt the same story that happens or do a prequel of sorts.

The prequel could either start with an origin story or go straight to the weekly events of her growth. It could even go in its own direction and not have the excessive growth occur.
