As the next symbol of peace blazed through the dorm area, he couldn't help but feel nervous. While on paper Jirou seemed like the obvious choice given her hearing quirk, there was no telling how she would react to him given she was half asleep. If anything, she might mistake him for a bug and crush him flat.
He'd literally seen how she reacted to insects, and it always ended with her rocker boots stamping them out. The very thought of ending up like those poor arthropods made him shutter. The last thing he wanted was to become a stain at the bottom of Jirou's foot. That meant his only other option was to rely on Yaoyorozu.
She was the more awake of the pair and his best chance for survival. Plus, if she did mistake him for an insect than she wouldn't flat out crush him. Whenever the rare bug siltation did crop up, she would simply scoop them up and let them outside. A far cry from how Jirou and most of his other classmates reacted.
With his mind made up, he set a course for the raven-haired girl. Thankfully she was headed his way towards the living area, but at the same time that also presented him with a bit of a problem. She was unaware of his presence and headed his way. And unlike him, her size meant she could cover more ground in less time.
Izuku's eyes widened as his fellow classmate drew near and the long shadow she cast began to overtake him. She was going to crush him if he didn't move in time. He needed to change directions before it was too late.
