"Umm...I guess doorways have gotten a lot smaller than they used to be..."
Derrick was wedged between the sides of the doorframe to his bedroom. His gigantic body was too wide for even the already wide doorframes of his apartment. And now the bid dog was trapped, his one free arm not strong enough to pull himself free.
Evan let himself in to the dog's apartment later that evening for dinner. Knocking on the door, a mechanism on the other side whirred to life, pulling open the door handle and slowly swinging it open. The lion's nose was met with the intense aroma of Chinese food, easily a few dozen boxes took up much of the counter space in the kitchen. It was then that Evan saw the predicament the dog was in, unclothed and too fat to get out of his bedroom unassisted.
"I figured that, since I'm having company over, we should eat out here and not, you know, in my bedroom," Derrick explained. "So, after the food was delivered, I got up to make sure that everything out here was clean and all, and...well, here I am now!"
The lion inspected the situation. "Well, I'm surprised you were able just to get out of bed by yourself."
"Hey, I'm not THAT heavy," said the big dog. "I can still get to the bathroom and whatnot. It just takes me a lot more time."
"Ah, I see. So, how do you think I can help you out?" asked the lion.
"I dunno...Maybe if you yank hard enough on my arm that'll do. But I can feel my hips just digging into this frame. You might need something to loosen me up first. Uh, there might be something like butter or olive oil in the kitchen. I think that might work."
