Jake collapsed onto the couch in his living room. The grey lion groaned as he rubbed a paw lazily over the taunt sphere that was now his belly. The swimmer appeared to be several months pregnant with a few cubs. He and Evan had spent much of the day hitting up any and all restaurants near the beach that tickled their fancy. Tacos, burgers, pizza, the duo devoured thousands if not tens of thousands of calories worth of food, though Jake was doing much, much more of the eating. Evan watched in amazement as Jake's flat abdominals ballooned out while the swimmer stuffed his face. At points, Evan swore Jake was going to explode, but he kept eating stopping to unbutton his pants. By the time evening had rolled around, Jake looked as if he swallowed on overinflated basketball.
"Oof, doing alright?" Evan asked, joining Jake on the couch. He carefully lowered himself down. The cream-colored lion was full as well, though not nearly as packed as his friend. "Looks like you may have overdid it."
Jake opened his maw and let out a loud belch. "Nah. This was nothing." He gave the solid dome of his gut a firm pat. "I've eaten way, way more before. Though usually it's a lot more vegetables and less ice cream."
Evan undid the buttons on his shorts; his extended stomach poked out a bit more. "Really? How? Why?"
"Swimmers needs a ton of calories when they're training. It's a really intense sport. On days before meets, it's not uncommon if I suck down thirty thousand or so calories in a day."
"God, how come you're not a whale then?" Evan asked in amazement.
"I burn it all off! Like I'm going to with this!" Jake gave his stomach another pat. "Tomorrow I gotta hit the gym. I can't let my body waste away while I'm healing from surgery."
"Oh, come on! How about one more cheat day?" pled Evan. "There are so many other places I want to visit! Like that burrito joint we skipped so we could go to that pizza place! One more day won't hurt!"
Jake let out a groan. "I really shouldn't. I mean, today shouldn't have happened either. My agent and trainers would kill me if they saw all that I ate today."
